Loukia was born in Cyprus in 1966.
Life circumstances, war, continuous changes of homes and schools, studies (Statistics/Computing at London School of Economics, Masters in Business Administration at Imperial), work experience in various business sectors and health challenges helped her search for new ways to live. She discovered yoga in 1991 and has not stopped practicing since.
A few years later she completed her yoga teachers training course in Greece with Robert Najemy and became certified with the International Yoga Teachers Association. She has never stopped seeking the knowledge and experience of others and has participated in numerous yoga training programs in Greece and abroad. She has studied, amongst others, with Monsoor, Diane Long, Paddy Mc Grath, Leslie Kaminoff, Simon Borg Olivier, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh and carries on exploring the vast knowledge through studying on her own too.
She started teaching soon after she gave birth to her first child in 1998 and carries on teaching in small groups of adults, pregnant women, young people and people with health challenges. She leads yoga and meditation workshops and retreats. She is a full teaching member of IYTA, a member of the Hellenic Yoga Association, a Body Mirror Healing coach and teaches Reevaluation Counselling. She is married with two children.
“I like to teach in small groups because I have the chance to observe closer, communicate and guide each individual on a personal basis. I love sharing what I have learned over the years and enjoy reminding people to respect their bodies, to accept and love themselves unconditionally and to live in the present moment. It is amazing to watch them find joy and freedom through their practice; and to project this to their lives and the world.Yoga is an ongoing journey of discovering oneself and connecting deeper within and with Universe”
